a problem solver. A servant leader. A working-class Marine who knows what broken looks like and refuses to leave it that way.
Sarah Klimm is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant with over two decades of service and a lifetime of leadership rooted in integrity, grit, and real-world results. Raised in southern York County, Pennsylvania, Sarah enlisted in the Marines at 17 and went on to serve 23 years, including seven combat deployments in Somalia, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Specializing in aviation maintenance and logistics, Sarah managed multi-million-dollar aircraft readiness programs and led diverse teams under some of the most demanding conditions in modern warfare. She earned a reputation as a leader and her ability to find practical solutions earned her top marks and the trust of Marines across all ranks.
Among her most notable assignments was her tour with the Presidential Helicopter Squadron, where attention to detail, accountability, and absolute precision weren’t optional; they were the standard. As she rose through the enlisted ranks, Sarah became known not just for her technical skill but for her uncommon ability to lead through crisis, repair broken systems, and build teams where everyone knew their voice mattered.
After retiring from active duty, Sarah continued her commitment to public service by turning her focus to the policy front. Drawing from firsthand experience navigating military and federal systems, she became a national-level advocate working with lawmakers, nonprofit coalitions, and government agencies to address persistent challenges facing veterans, military families, and underserved rural communities.
Sarah's work has included shaping legislation that improves healthcare access, expands mental health support, protects vulnerable veterans, and ensures that all who serve are treated with dignity and fairness, no matter who they are or where they come from. Her leadership in this space reflects a deep belief in service over self, and in the responsibility to leave every system better than she found it.
Through every chapter—combat zones, congressional halls, community forums—Sarah has remained the same person: a problem solver. A servant leader. A working-class Marine who knows what broken looks like and refuses to leave it that way.
Now, she’s stepping forward once again, this time to represent Pennsylvania’s 11th Congressional District. Her mission is simple: bring competence, courage, and common sense back to Washington. Because when something’s not working, Sarah fixes it. It’s what she’s always done.
